Student Health Information
The staff of the Student Health Center is dedicated to caring for our students. Staffed by board-certified family practice physicians and registered nurses, we will strive to provide you with the highest quality of health care during your tenure at UR.
Health History Record: Required
Please download the Health History Record as soon as possible, as it takes many weeks to gather information, make medical appointments, and obtain medical records in order to complete this entrance requirement.
The deadline for submission of your mandatory Health History Record is July 15. Failure to comply will result in a block on your class registration and deny you access to your residence hall on move-in day.
If you have any questions about completing the Health History Record or would like to see services available, visit the Student Health Center online.
Disability Accomodations
The University of Richmond works with all students to provide an appropriate and engaging college experience. In compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the rights of students with disabilities, the Student Health Center and CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) work with all aspects of the university community to ensure appropriate accommodations are provided.
Students with disabilities who need specific accommodations should complete the Disability Accommodations Form and submit it by June 15.
Health Insurance
The University is concerned that all students have adequate health insurance during their college years. You should be familiar with your health insurance plan to determine if you are properly insured. The University of Richmond offers a medical insurance plan to all students and eligible dependents of students enrolled in more than two units. This may be done by downloading the enrollment form and returning it along with the premium payment to the agent, Ray Jones & Associates. Coverage will be effective August 19, 2008, or the date application is received, whichever is later. The insurance program summary and enrollment forms are available here. Certificate of coverage may be viewed online at Student Plans Center.
If you have questions you may reach Ray Jones & Associates at (804) 730-1727, or for claim questions you may call 1-800-756-3702 to speak to a representative from Commercial Travelers Mutual Insurance Company.
