When is tuition due?

Tuition and fees for fall are due the first Monday of August. Tuition for spring is due the first Monday in December.

When will I receive a tuition bill?
Fall tuition bills are e-mailed to all students around July 8. Spring tuition bills are e-mailed around November 8.

How can I pay tuition and fees?

UR Online Payment System
With electronic billing, students and other payers are able to make payments through a variety of methods. Electronic online payments can be made using MasterCard, Discover, or American Express (with a vendor charge of 2.75% of the amount charged) or you can pay electronically by check for no cost. Also, the invoice may be printed and mailed with a check. Other payment options still include our monthly payment plan with TuitionPay. Cash and check payments will continue to be accepted at the Student Accounts Office.

Students must grant access to their parents/guardians if their parents/guardians are to receive electronic bills and use the online payment system. A guide for doing so is on the “To-Do List” portion of the New Spiders Web site. Anyone with access will also be e-mailed when the bill is ready to be viewed. Fall invoices are e-mailed in early July, spring invoices in early November.

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The University of Richmond is committed to offering a very secure online account management system and has partnered with QuikPAY®. This partnership insures that we are in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Students can pay their account balance online by visiting BannerWeb at https://bannerweb.richmond.edu/, clicking on Student Services/Payment of Tuition and Fees/ Payment of Tuition and Fees. Authorized payers will be able to access through QuikPAY® online.

Whom do I contact regarding my bill or charges on my account?
You may contact the Bursar’s Office toll free at (866) 241-8893 or (804) 289-8147. Various departments place charges on the student account. The student must contact the issuing department with any questions or concerns.  The Student Accounts office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

What happens if I have a financial reversal which threatens my child’s ability to continue at UR?
Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to assist you or direct you to sources of assistance. Contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss your situation. A financial aid advisor may be reached at (804) 289-8438 or at finaid@richmond.edu.

How can I deposit money into my student’s SpiderCard/One Card account?
To allow a student’s ID card to function as a SpiderCard, funds must be pre-deposited. There are several ways to make deposits:

  • By credit card – via phone by calling (804) 289-8769;
