A Peer Advising Associate (PAA) is assigned to each incoming student in late spring. PAAs help new students keep up with the summer checklist, select fall courses, and prepare for registration. They are available to answer any questions as new students get ready for fall semester. Be sure to respond when your PAA contacts you in May!

Hi New Spiders and welcome to UR! My name is Carly Green and I am a rising junior majoring in PPEL and International Studies. I grew up in New Jersey but I love to call Richmond my second home. About Christina

My name is Christina Allen and I am a rising senior at UR. I have lived in Richmond, VA since I was less than a year old and love the city so much that I decided to stay near it for college. In addition to the surrounding area, I was attracted to University of Richmond because of the relatively small class sizes, unique assortment of course offerings, and diverse set of faculty, staff, and students. Currently, I am a declared Mathematical Economics major (a major unique to UR) and double minor in Computer Science and Business Administration. I am also currently involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, which meets at least twice a week and also work in the Office of Admissions on campus as a Senior Intern. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, zip lining, relaxing with family, and spending time with friends.

About Dagny

My name is Dagny Barone and I will be a senior this upcoming fall. I am currently a political science and business administration major, concentrating in finance. I was selected as an Artist Scholar on the violin as an incoming freshman, so in addition to being a Music minor, I have had the opportunity to participate in the University's chamber ensembles, symphony orchestra and pit crew during the last three years. This past spring semester I studied abroad in Milan, Italy at Bocconi University (even though I didn't speak a word of Italian) and can easily say that it was one of the best experiences of my entire life. This year I did an intensive study abroad program focused on public health in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I ended my experience with a month-long research project on palliative care for the elderly. I love learning languages and about other cultures so I am double majoring in Arabic Studies and French. U of R has great opportunities to travel so I have studied abroad in Morocco during the spring of my junior year and in France the prior summer.
