Orientation Advisors

Each year hundreds of students apply to represent the University of Richmond as an Orientation Advisor (OA). We strive to assemble a dynamic team of student leaders who are passionate about Richmond and eager to help new Spiders with their transition to the university.

New Spiders will be in a small group of around 25 students, led by two OA’s. Our OA’s are trained to help with your transition to the University both academically and socially. New Spiders will interact with their OA’s in both small group settings, as well as individually throughout the orientation experience.

Orientation Advisors guide our new Spiders throughout the New Spider Orientation and transition programs, helping to make sure students know where they are heading, provide resources and referrals, and help to build a welcoming and inclusive community.
